Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

Kaiser Aluminum

finds documents containing 'Kaiser' or 'Aluminum'

 

Kaiser or Trentwood

same as above

 

Kaiser and Aluminum

finds documents containing both 'Kaiser' and 'Aluminum'

 

Kaiser not Aluminum

finds documents containing 'Kaiser' but not 'Aluminum'

 

(Kaiser not Aluminum) and Trentwood

finds documents containing 'Trentwood', plus 'Kaiser' but not 'Aluminum'

 

Kaiser*

finds documents containing words starting with 'Kaiser'
