2024-T4 Kaiser T-Form (Bare & Alclad
Sheet)
Description:
T-Form sheet
was developed as a
replacement for applications
presently requiring O or W tempers. This results in a substantial
cost reduction due to the elimination of solution
heat treating and associated operations.
T-Form sheet has
superior formability, approaching that of 2024-O or
2024-W, making it a suitable replacement for these tempers in
many applications.
Target
Applications:
 | Simple to moderately
complex parts.
| | Bending, stretch
forming, hydroforming.
| | Parts formed in 2024-O
followed by heat treating.
| | Parts heat treated
followed by forming in 2024-W.
| | Components using 2024-T3 with high scrap
rates.
*Note: Difference in guaranteed properties
vs. T3 must be considered.
