POSITION TITLE:

Safety Coordinator

DESCRIPTION:

The Safety Coordinator will work directly for the Safety Manage and support the supervisors, temporary supervisors, safety representatives and working leaders in utilizing tools and techniques necessary to conduct thorough root cause analysis and develop comprehensive control actions during an incident investigation. Additionally, the Safety Coordinator will be responsible for conducting safety audits, training, ergonomic assessments, and ensure corrective actions and hazards log items are resolved. The incumbent will be expected to work closely and collaborate with safety representatives and supervisors in improving the safety within the facility.

SUMMARY OF REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Safety Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3 - 10 Years of progressive safety management experience

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is highly desirable

Manufacturing experience involving molten metals is ideal
Possess a fundamental working knowledge and understanding of State and Federal regulations pertaining to OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI.

Lean manufacturing and/or six sigma experience a plus
