POSITION TITLE:
Process Engineer
DESCRIPTION:
This position reports to the Technical Manager/Process Engineering Leader. It consists of developing, planning and implementing process or product improvement projects for areas throughout the plant. The position also provides support to Production, Engineering and Advanced Engineering groups as needed. Develop processes that optimize product performance with low manufacturing cost, maximized capacity utilization and statistically sound product performance. Thoroughly document all technical work that is completed. This will include writing technical papers for the online library. Function as a shared resource within the production value streams for assistance in difficult problem solving. Work with cross functional project teams as required to support plant business goals and objectives. Lead and serve as a member of Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma Initiatives. Maintain area operational practices and procedures to optimize product quality/performance. Provide routine technical support and guidance to area Production departments to facilitate high quality performance which supports the business objectives. Assist in troubleshooting processes as required. Coordinate and support plant safety initiatives through active involvement in the safety process. Evaluate reliability improvement options in the processing areas for which responsible.
